ViSalus Founders and winners of our Champions Day promotion gathered in Los Angeles last week for a luncheon to honor coach John Wooden with the first-ever ViSalus Global Leadership Award. The award, which was created to recognize excellence in mentorship, could not have gone to a finer individual.

Coach John Wooden exemplifies what our Global Leadership Award is all about because of the impact he has made on the Life, Health and Prosperity of millions of people around the world. From his years of success on the basketball court as both player and coach, to his lasting legacy as a teacher whose philosophies are revered by world leaders, Coach John Wooden is an iconic figure in American history.

The event, held at the Sofitel Beverly Hills, drew local and national media to cover a rare public appearance by Wooden. Normally a private man, Wooden opened up on stage to thank ViSalus Founders Ryan Blair, Nick Sarnicola and Blake Mallen for this honor. He shared with those in attendance some insight into the significance of his famous Pyramid of Success, and recited poems and stories from his near-century of life.

ViSalus thanks John Wooden, the first recipient of the ViSalus Global Leadership Award.
